An 18-year-old suspect has pleaded guilty to a charge of animal cruelty in connection with the death of Faye the swan, the mother at the Manlius Swan Pond.
WSYR-TV in Syracuse reports the unnamed 18-year-old will be sentenced on February 15th.
The mother swan was taken from the Village of Manlius, killed, and eaten on Memorial Day. Manlius police say three Syracuse teenagers ages 16, 17, and 18 have been arrested.
Faye and her four babies were stolen in May. Two babies were recovered in a shopping center, the other two from a home in Syracuse.
