Suspect Charged With Murder in Cortland County

An Oswego County woman has been charged with murder after a 62-year-old woman was found dead outside of her Cortland County home last Wednesday.

According to State Police, Arlela Thran was arrested Saturday three days after Patricia Halverson was found outside of her home in the town of Solon. The 32-year-old Granby woman was sent to the Cortland County Correctional Facility without bail.

The investigation remains active at this time and State Police are encouraging anyone with information to reach out.
