Stop and See if the State Owes You Money at the State Fair

SHARE NOW

The State Comptroller’s office attends the State Fair every year, and the Unclaimed Funds Booth is open to help fairgoers check for lost money: Aug. 21 to Sept. 1, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Labor Day, Sept. 2, at the Center of the Progress Building.

If you’re going to the State Fair you might as well find out if the state owes you money while you’re there. The State Comptroller’s Office has its Unclaimed Funds Booth at the Center of the Progress Building set up at the Fair so you can check and see if you have money being held by the state that belongs to you or a family member. Unclaimed funds can come from utility deposits, old bank accounts, uncashed checks, insurance claims, stocks and other sources that have been dormant for years.

The booth is open now thru Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Labor Day, Sept. 2, at the Center of the Progress Building.
