SHARE NOW

A New York State Department of Transportation worker was airlifted to Albany Medical Center on Thursday after being struck by a car in Pittstown, Rensselaer County.

State Police responded to State Route 7 near the intersection of Campbell Lane at around 2:15 p.m. The DOT worker was struck by a westbound car. The worker suffered undisclosed serious injuries.

The driver of the car remained on scene and State Police have not yet provided an update on possible charges.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
