The investigation into a Southern Tier man possessing child pornography led to his arrest and the arrest of another man on a separate charge involving an animal.
Last Friday, State Police executed a search warrant at the Broome County residence of Christopher Banks in Nineveh, just outside of Binghamton, and found the 37-year-old to be in possession of images consistent with child sexual exploitation.
During the investigation, State Police learned that 38-year-old Mark Banks had allegedly sexually abused a dairy cow while employed at a farm in the town of Colesville, Broome County.
Christopher Banks was charged with felony possessing a sexual performance by a child and Mark Banks was arrested for misdemeanor sexual misconduct.
Both were released on appearance tickets.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
