Sheriffs’ offices across New York are asking you to participate in their “Yellow Dot Program.”
The free program is designed to help first responders in the event of an emergency.
Through the program, you fill out a medical information card and keep it in your glove box, you then place a yellow decal on your car’s rear left window. In the event of an accident, first responders know to look for your medical information.
Stickers can also be used in the home.
Originally designed for senior citizens, the program is now recommended for anyone, regardless of age.
