One man is facing a murder charge after a stabbing Thursday in Onondaga County.
According to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the Citgo Gas Station on Rt 57 in Liverpool around 8:30p where they found 50-year-old Scott Lamica inside the store with severe stab wounds. Life-saving measures were attempted by deputies before he could be transported to Upstate Medical Center Downtown where he later died of his injuries.
Investigation revealed that Lamacia was driving his truck on Cotswold Court in Clay when his neighbor, Richard Losee, approached the vehicle and stabbed him multiple times as the culmination of a continued dispute between the two. Despite being injured, Lamica was able to drive himself to the gas station where he called 911.
Witnesses were also altered to a man, Losee, who had been struck by a vehicle on Cotswold Court.
While Lamica succumbed to his injuries at Upstate, Losee received treatment and was released to sheriff’s deputies.
44-year-old Richard Losee has been charged with Murder and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. He was taken to the justice center to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
