One state senator is showing her support for electrifying New York.
At a press conference, Senator Rachel May said “[electric buildings] are safer, they’re more comfortable, and they are healthier. Everybody who is trying to scare us about some how electric buildings are inferior, they’re wrong.”
May is a sponsor of the All-Electric Buildings Act which would require new buildings in the state to use electricity over gas or oil in an effort to reduce greenhouse gas.
