You’re traveling through another dimension. That’s a statue up ahead, your next stop, Binghamton.
The Rod Serling Memorial Foundation set up a Kickstarter with a goal of $35,000 to build a statue of the Twilight Zone creator at Recreation Park in Binghamton. So far, the group has reached over 75% of that goal. The deadline is April 3rd.
The park was the inspiration for one of the TV episodes which ran for five seasons from 1959 to 1964.
Serling had a vacation camp on Cayuga Lake in Seneca County. He died in 1975 and is buried at the Lakeview Cemetery in Interlaken.
