A Buffalo man is going to prison after selling drugs that led to an overdose.
According to US Attorney Trini Ross, Darryl Sweat was convicted of distributing cocaine, fentanyl, and para-fluoro fentanyl.
On April 18, 2022, Sweat sold cocaine to a regular customer identified by the attorney’s office as VO. Two days later VO was found dead at their home. An autopsy determined the cause of death to be acute mixed drug intoxication.
On May 19 and May 26, 2022, investigators made controlled purchases of cocaine from Sweat.
For his crime, Sweat was sentenced to 170 months in prison.
