A Rochester man has been sentenced to a decade in prison after being found with guns and drugs two years ago.
According to the US Attorney’s Office, Jaomi Delgado was sentenced to 120 months in prison by US District Judge Charles Siragusa following his conviction of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
The 31-year-old had been under investigation for months when, on May 18, 2022, he entered a restaurant on Norton Street in Rochester. US Attorney Robert Marangola, who handled the case, stated that investigators saw a pistol in plain view near the center console of Delgado’s vehicle. When he exited the restaurant, he was subsequently taken into custody.
After the vehicle was towed away, it was searched. Officers found a loaded .40 caliber handgun, 60 fentanyl pills, four cell phones, and $17,875.00 in cash.
The investigation was conducted by the ATF and Rochester Police Department.
