Reps. Tenney, Langworthy Respond to Biden Impeachment Inquiry

SHARE NOW

Ahead of the House of Representative’s return in Washington on Tuesday, Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced he has directed the opening of a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden, citing a “culture of corruption” surrounding the Biden family and claiming it’s the “logical next step.”

Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-24), who represents the Finger Lakes in Congress, released this statement following Speaker McCarthy’s announcement:

“In spite of interference by the Department of Justice, which slow-walked and covered up the investigations into the Biden Crime Family, House Republicans have extensive evidence that the President is beyond compromised,” said Congresswoman Tenney. “We have uncovered evidence revealing the Biden Families’ crimes and corruption, including previously undisclosed multi-million dollar payments from Ukraine, Romania, and China to the President’s family and likely the President himself. It is unacceptable that the President is making policy decisions based on self-interest and also enriching himself and his family at the expense of the American people. House Republicans are moving forward to responsibly investigate the President’s alleged crimes with an impeachment inquiry. On behalf of my constituents and every American, I remain committed to holding the Biden Crime Family accountable.”

Congressman Nick Langworthy (NY-23), who is Schuyler and Steuben counties representative in Washington, also released a statement:

“Our work on the House Oversight Committee produced evidence that President Biden continually lied to the American people about his involvement in his family’s shady business dealings. We’ve uncovered millions in foreign money to various Biden family members and we know President Biden was involved in meetings with Hunter’s foreign business ties. I applaud Speaker McCarthy for initiating this logical next step to use the full power of the House to provide answers to the American people, and I look forward to working with my colleagues on the Oversight Committee, under the exceptional leadership of Chairman Comer, to bring transparency and accountability to this Administration.”
