A Rochester woman is facing felony charges after a weekend police chase led to her arrest.
According to State Police, they attempted to pull over a Kia Optima Sunday for failing to signal while turning onto Dejung Street from Joseph Avenue. The vehicle did not pull over and a pursuit occurred until the driver struck a street sign on Clifford Ave and Barons Street.
Both occupants of the vehicle fled on foot. The passenger, 19-year-old Aleigha Crowder, was taken into custody. Police were not able to locate the driver.
A loaded Glock 19 9mm handgun with a 30-round magazine was found in the car. The magazine contained 27 rounds of ammunition.
Crowder was charged with two felony counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Obstruction of Governmental Administration, a misdemeanor. She was taken to the Monroe County Jail for arraignment.
