A 12-year-old middle school student from upstate has been arrested after police say he stabbed another middle school student.
The victim, a 13-year-old, is recovering from a punctured lung at the University of Vermont Medical Center after being stabbed one time in the upper back Wednesday afternoon. State Police say the 13-year-old did not sustain any life-threatening injuries and is in stable condition. Both the victim and suspect are students at the Saranac Middle School.
The 12-year-old was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
