One person was killed and eight others injured in a Monday night crash on the thruway.
According to state police, the incident happened near Exit 24 around 6:45p when a 30-year-old Braylynn Fahy of Fort Plain merged onto I-90 westbound from the acceleration ramp and crossed all lanes of travel. Her 2018 Chevy Traverse was struck by a 2025 Cadillac Escalade in the left lane.
Aside from Fahy, police said there was another adult and three minors in the Traverse. The Escalade contained four adults.
Fahy was taken to Albany Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. All others involved were taken to area hospitals with what police said they believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
