Two men suffered injuries after being involved in a small plane crash at the Jamestown Aiport Monday morning.
Chautauqua County officials say the pilot and co-pilot were flying a Cessna Citation X when it crashed near the airport’s main runway.
Both pilots walked out of the plane following the crash. The pilot suffered facial injuries and was airlifted to the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo. The co-pilot, who was alert and conscious, was taken to a nearby medical facility in Chautauqua County.
It’s believed the pilots lost electricity in the Cessna and were unable to make any calls for help.
Airport officials say no structural damage was done to the runway as the Cessna landed about 200 feet short of the runway.
