Oswego County Man Faces New Sex Assault Charges

SHARE NOW

State Police have arrested an Oswego County man after he allegedly engaged in sexual conduct with a 42-year-old woman by force and then posted intimate photos of the victim on social media without her consent.

During their investigation into Joshua Sprague, State Police say two additional women came forward regarding additional sexual offense allegations that occurred from 2017 to 2024 at multiple locations in Oswego County.

On Friday, Sprague was charged with rape and criminal sexual act, both felony charges. Additionally, based on the fact that Sprague has been alleged to have committed first-degree sex offenses against more than one victim, the Hastings man was also charged with one count of predatory sexual assault, a felony.

Investigators believe there may be more victims and ask anyone with further information regarding Joshua M. Sprague to contact State Police at Troop D Headquarters in Oneida at 315-366-6000.

Following his arraignment, Sprauge was sent to Oswego County Jail.
