Scary moments on Sunday in one Orleans County community.
The Medina Fire Department said its crews responded on a second ambulance call in the village to what seemed to be a low-priority basic life support call for service. After arriving on the scene, the crew was quickly met by a person with a gun making threats to firefighters and a neighbor. The crew retreated and police were called. 21-year-old Joseph Colson reentered his home and then came back outside without the weapon. The crew was able to restrain the man before police placed him in custody.
Police say they did recover a black revolver BB gun from Colson’s residence. He was charged with resisting arrest, criminal possession of a weapon and three counts of menacing.
No injuries were reported
