SHARE NOW

Troopers are investigating a fatal car crash in Onondaga County.

The incident happened around 2:49 Monday afternoon at the intersection of Buckley Road and Lorian Drive in the Town of Salina. According to State Police, 71-year-old Harold Williams of Baldwinsville was exiting a parking lot on Buckley Road when he was struck by a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Sean Leach of Camillus. Williams struck a street sign before continuing off the shoulder of the road until colliding with large landscaping rocks.

The 71-year-old was taken to Upstate University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 63-year-old Pamela Williams, who was in the car with Harold Williams, was also taken to Upstate for non-life-threatening injuries.

Leach was not injured in the crash; however, a 6-year-old passenger was taken to Upstate for evaluation.

Leach was not ticketed as eyewitnesses confirmed Williams pulled into the path of Leach’s vehicle.

An autopsy will determine Williams’ official cause of death.
