Members of the  Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways (GSNYPENN) Council, which spans two dozen counties in New York and two in northern Pennsylvania, sold 1,255,540 packages of Girl Scout Cookies during the 2025 season.

“Thanks to the incredible support of our community, our troops and individual Girl Scouts earned more than $1.4 million in direct support through our 2025 cookie program,” says Christina Verratti, GSNYPENN’s Vice President of Product Programs & Volunteer Services.

The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the council’s largest annual fundraiser. Through it, Girl Scouts learn financial literacy, practice entrepreneurship and further strengthen their leadership skills.

Proceeds raised provide girls with patches, rewards and experience credits that help fund annual membership fees, badge work, summer camp, travel opportunities, community service and highest awards projects.

Program participants also earn unforgettable experiences like Cookie Camp weekends and even a trip to Washington, D.C. for this season’s highest seller: Girl Scout Junior Lillian M. from Troop 60283 in Barneveld, N.Y. (Oneida County), who sold 3,024 packages.

The direct support raised through the cookie program is in addition to the broader impact it provides to help fund council-sponsored programs and services that benefit all GSNYPENN members, helping them grow into leaders of tomorrow.

Through purchases made via the council’s Sweet Support Gift of Caring annual service project, 17,966 packages of cookies were donated to 2025 community designee the Rescue Mission which has locations across GSNYPENN’s footprint.
