National Grid customers in New York will see their bills rise 20% over the next three years.
The state’s Public Service Commission has approved the utility’s rate hike, starting in September. For the average residential electric customer, that means monthly increases of about $14 in year one, $6 in year two, and $4 in year three.
Natural gas customers will see monthly increases of about $8, $8, and $9 over the same period.
