The national average price for a gallon of gas is $3.85, down three cents from last week.
According to AAA of Western and Central New York, the state average hasn’t changed from last week, sitting at $3.92. This time last year, the state average was $3.69.
AAA anticipates a decline in the price of fuel is on the way as the country begins to transition to the less expensive blend of winter fuel.
For New Yorkers who drive diesel, the New York average is $4.74. That’s up one cent from last Monday but down 32 cents from this time last year.
