The New York State Sheriffs’ Association held the official swearing-in of its Officers, Trustees, and Executive Committee on Wednesday.

Outgoing President Sheriff Craig DuMond of Delaware County introduced the incoming President, Sheriff James B. Quattrone of Chautauqua County. The ceremony included retired Sheriff Ron Spike of Yates County, who administered the oath of office to President Quattrone and the other Association Officers, Trustees, and Executive Committee members.

During his remarks, President Quattrone expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to lead the Association and emphasized the importance of mentorship and professional development.

“I’m excited to be in the position of president of the New York State Sheriffs’ Association, primarily because there are so many great sheriffs around the state to work with,” said Sheriff Quattrone. “It’s an opportunity to not only encourage other sheriffs and deputies to get involved, but also to continue benefiting from the great mentorship and training the Association provides.”
