New License Plates to Showcase Upstate Regions

Upstate New York residents will soon have the chance to showcase their pride in the region on license plates.

The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles has announced it is offering new plates for each of New York’s ten regions, including Central New York, the Finger Lakes, and the Southern Tier.

DMV Commissioner Mark Schroeder said in a statement “every region of our state has something unique and interesting about it, and we are happy to celebrate that uniqueness.”

Regions are set to debut throughout June. More info can be found on the DMV’s website.
