The 19-year-old man police say was responsible for the shelter in place at St. John Fisher University in Rochester last Thursday night is facing new, unrelated charges.
According to 13 WHAM, Shalom Mathews has been charged by Brighton Police with two counts of stalking for allegedly sending unwanted, harassing, and sexually explicit messages to multiple women over a several-year period.
Mathews was arrested last Thursday after he allegedly tried to stab a staff member at Fisher while also attempting a kidnapping. He was charged with four felonies in connection with that incident.
