State Police say a Greece woman was arrested after attempting to enter the Upstate Correctional Facility in Malone with a fake ID.
Troopers responded to the prison on Saturday after staff reported an unauthorized visitor. Investigators say 19-year-old Omariana Curry tried to use false identification to get inside. She also allegedly gave a fake name.
Police later determined Curry is banned from the facility due to a previous incident at another state prison.
She was charged with possession of a forged instrument, two counts of criminal impersonation, and criminal trespass. Curry was arraigned in Malone Town Court and released on her own recognizance.
State Police were assisted by the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
