Missing Honeoye Falls Woman Found Dead, Sister Arrested

SHARE NOW

A body recovered from the Genesee River has been identified as 62-year-old Penny Busch, a missing woman from Honeoye Falls.

Her sister, 53-year-old Jamie Busch, also of Honeoye Falls, has been charged with murder and evidence tampering.

Jamie Busch, a paraprofessional at the Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District, has been placed on leave. She is currently held at Monroe County Jail without bail, with a court appearance scheduled for Thursday.

Authorities say Penny Busch’s disappearance had been under investigation as suspicious before the discovery of her body last week.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
