It was quite a surprise for one car dealership in Watertown on Friday morning.
State Police say they responded to Bob Johnson’s Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram after a military ordinance was found inside a car.
The New York State Police Bomb Disposal Unit along with a Fort Drum Explosive Ordinance Disposal Specialist responded and removed the device.
A preliminary investigation determined the driver of the car was hired to clean out an empty residence when she discovered a box with the ordinance inside. The woman placed the box inside of the car before traveling to the dealership. 911 was called after the woman revealed what she had found to the dealership.
The investigation is ongoing.
