Authorities have identified the man who died following a work site accident last Thursday morning in the Town of Skaneateles.
According to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, the victim was 27-year-old Hunter Foley of Watertown.
According to Syracuse.com, sheriff’s officials say the incident happened around 10:36 a.m. at a work site located at 1725 Coon Hill Road. Foley was seriously injured after being struck in the head by an excavator, according to Onondaga County 911 Center dispatch reports. He was transported to Upstate University Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The accident remains under investigation. The sheriff’s office has not released additional details, including the circumstances surrounding the incident or the employer involved.
