A handful of state leaders are calling for an investigation into the Monroe County District Attorney after bodycam footage worn by a Webster Police Officer showed Sandra Doorley had attempted to invoke her job status after she refused to pull over for speeding.
Democrat State Senator Samra Brouk, along with Democratic colleagues in the Assembly, Harry Bronson, Desmond Meeks, Sarah Clark, and Jen Lunsford released a joint statement on Saturday that called for an investigation and for ethical charges to be brought upon Dorley, a Republican.
The statement went on to say that DA Doorley must be held accountable and all options to investigate the situation must be pursued including violations of public officers’ laws, and professional legal ethics as well as removal from office should be considered.
