A Jamesville man has died following a motorcycle crash on Tuesday afternoon in Onondaga County.

According to the New York State Police, troopers responded to Coye Road in the town of LaFayette, New York, around 4:30 p.m. for a report of a motorcycle crash with injuries.

A preliminary investigation found that a black 2023 Can-Am three-wheeled motorcycle, operated by 42-year-old Christopher Carlson of Jamesville, New York, was traveling north on Coye Road when the operator lost control. The motorcycle left the west side of the roadway and struck a culvert and rock retaining wall near a driveway, ejecting Carlson from the vehicle.

Carlson was transported to Upstate University Hospital in critical condition, where he later died from his injuries.

State Police say the investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
