The 2026 Girl Scout Cookie® season is officially underway! Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways (GSNYPENN) kicked off the season last Friday, giving the community a chance to support the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program in the world. Cookie season runs now through April 14, with local sales opportunities varying by council.
This year, a brand-new cookie joins the lineup: Exploremores®. Inspired by rocky road ice cream, the sandwich cookies feature chocolate, marshmallow, and almond-flavored crème, reflecting the curiosity and adventurous spirit that define the Girl Scout experience.
“From a kindergartener discovering elephants at the zoo to a Cadette gaining confidence on her first camping trip, to an Ambassador tackling a global challenge through her Gold Award project, Girl Scouts learn that discovery begins with exploration,” said Julie Dale, CEO of GSNYPENN. “When the community supports local Girl Scout Cookie sales, they’re investing in the real experiences — leadership, confidence, connection — that shape Girl Scouts long after the season ends.”
Through the cookie program, Girl Scouts develop essential life and business skills including goal setting, decision-making, money management, people skills, and business ethics. Proceeds from cookie sales fund annual membership dues, summer camp experiences, travel, and community service projects. All funds raised stay local to support GSNYPENN’s 9,363 youth and adult members across 26 counties in New York and northern Pennsylvania.

Each box is priced at $6 locally, with the following flavors available:
- Adventurefuls® — brownie-inspired cookies topped with caramel-flavored crème and a hint of sea salt
- Do-si-dos® — oatmeal sandwich cookies with peanut butter filling
- Exploremores® — chocolate, marshmallow, and almond-flavored crème sandwich cookies
- Lemon-Ups® — crispy lemon cookies baked with inspiring messages
- Samoas® — crisp cookies with caramel, coconut, and chocolaty stripes
- Tagalongs® — crispy cookies layered with peanut butter and covered with a chocolaty coating
- Thin Mints® — crispy chocolatey cookies made with natural peppermint oil
- Toffee-tastic® — gluten-free buttery cookies with crunchy toffee bits
- Trefoils® — classic shortbread cookies inspired by the original Girl Scout recipe

- Support the council’s Sweet Support Gift of Caring project by donating cookies, which will be delivered to regional Meals on Wheels providers and food banks at the end of the season
