Syracuse, N.Y. (February 22, 2024) — Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways (GSNYPENN) is looking for assistance from regional businesses and community organizations to help girls and troops across its footprint have a successful 2024 Girl Scout Cookie Program.
GSNYPENN serves girls in K-12 across Allegany, Broome, Cayuga, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Ontario, Oswego, Otsego, St. Lawrence, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, Wayne and Yates counties in N.Y. and Bradford and Tioga counties in Pa.
The council hopes to connect with additional businesses and organizations in high-traffic areas to allow more troops to host walk-up and drive-up booths this cookie season. Booth sales run March 1-31.
“We want to help our Girl Scouts have another safe and successful cookie program by connecting with the communities we serve to host more booth opportunities for our members,” says Christina Verratti, Vice President of Membership Support & Product Programs.
The annual cookie program helps fund Girl Scout leadership experiences like community service, highest award projects, badge work, summer camp, travel and more—all while girls gain important entrepreneurial and life skills.
Girl Scouts would need the use of locations through the end of March. GSNYPENN will provide insurance information for businesses and organizations. Those who can assist will receive publicity through the Girl Scout Cookie Finder, the council’s website and social media, and cookie season advertising—which helps drive additional customers to local businesses and locations.
If your business or organization can help local Girl Scouts during cookie season, please contact Jaclyn Strazzulla, Director of Product Programs, at 315.288.0955 or [email protected].
