Four Accused of Stealing $15K from Ulta Beauty in Chemung County

It took three Rochester women approximately two minutes to steal more than $15,000 worth of merchandise from the Ulta Beauty store in Chemung County.

Shortly after 8 last Thursday night, Chemung County 911 Center was advised of a larceny in progress in the town of Horseheads. Detail members immediately responded to the store and located a white Buick occupied by a woman attempting to flee the parking lot.  Simultaneously, members of the State Police Community Stabilization Unit Retail Task Force observed two females running through the parking lot toward the suspect vehicle carrying large grocery bags filled with merchandise.  As the females approached the vehicle, Task Force members were able to safely prevent it from leaving, and all four women were taken into custody.

A search of the grocery bags and vehicle yielded multiple Ulta Beauty products totaling $15,725 and $455 worth of antitheft devices.

A review of the store security footage captured the three women entering the store with large grocery bags. The women immediately began to fill the bags with merchandise, making no attempt to disguise their intentions, and then immediately exited the store. The women were in the store for approximately 2 minutes.

Each suspect was charged with one count of Grand Larceny 3rd (D Felony), and all four were arraigned in the Village of Horseheads Court as follows:

Erica A. Jones, age 26, of Rochester, NY, was remanded to Chemung County Jail on a Fugitive from Justice charge with no bail.

Kadestiny Albrianna, age 28, of Rochester, NY, was remanded to the Chemung County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash and $40,000 bond.

Desiree Walker, age 30, of Rochester, NY, was released from court.

Latanetta Williams, age 28, of Rochester, NY, was remanded to the Chemung County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash and a $40,000 bond.

The New York State Police Community Stabilization unit was assisted by the troopers and the Bureau of Investigation from SP Horseheads and SP Bath.
