On Thursday afternoon, State Police in Rochester conducted a traffic stop on a Chevy Impala in the Flower City. The driver, 22-year-old Amiricle Snead, of Rochester, initially stopped and produced his identification, before speeding off. Two minutes later, the suspect vehicle traveling eastbound on Wolff Street turned right onto Warner Street, where it struck a marked New York State Police patrol car, which was traveling north on Warner Street.
Subsequent to the collision, Snead fled on foot and was taken into custody without incident. The passenger, 20-year-old Davian Pride, of Rochester was taken into custody at the scene. Both Snead and Pride were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. The troopers were not injured.
This is an ongoing investigation.
