    Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 12 and 18 inches, with localized amounts up to 22 inches. Northwest winds gusting as high as 35 mph Monday afternoon will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow.

    Portions of central New York and northeast Pennsylvania.

    Until 7 PM EST Monday.
    IMPACTS
    Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    Snowfall will likely be very heavy at times this afternoon into the evening with hourly rates potentially exceeding 2 inches per hour. The snow tapers down this evening. Temperatures will be very cold throughout this storm, hovering in the upper single digits to teens the entire time, with colder wind chills.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Persons are urged to stay indoors until conditions improve. If you must go outside, dress in layers. Several layers of clothes will keep you warmer than a single heavy coat. Cover exposed skin to reduce your risk of frostbite or hypothermia. Gloves, a scarf, and a hat will keep you from losing your body heat. Persons should consider delaying all travel. Motorists should use extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary.

“Festival of Inclusion” on Saturday in Rochester

The Golisano Foundation, Special Olympics, and Best Buddies are joining together to host the third annual Festival of Inclusion on Saturday. The inspirational day of interactive fun, games and education is free and will be held at the Golisano Training Center at Nazareth University, 4245 East Ave in Rochester from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is part of the annual Spread the Word Inclusion campaign.

“This event is an excellent opportunity to meet the devoted agencies in our region and beyond who will showcase their inclusive services, promote acceptance, and advocate for respectful words and actions in every aspect of our lives. Come and join us for an afternoon filled with entertainment, games and interactive activities,” said Erica Dayton, Golisano Foundation Executive Director.

Community inclusion stations featuring interactive and creative activities and demonstrations will take place inside the Center from the following regional organizations:
