A Chemung County mother and father have been indicted on manslaughter charges in connection with the death of their two-year-old daughter one year ago.
On July 2nd, first responders were called to a home on Gaines Street in Elmira for an unresponsive child. The two-year-old was airlifted to Golisano Children’s Hospital in Rochester where she died. It was determined the little girl died due to complications related to fentanyl intoxication.
WENY in Elmira reports 44-year-old Lance Townsend and 35-year-old Keyana Townsend were indicted by a Chemung County Grand Jury Monday on manslaughter and endangering the welfare of a child charges and were arrested on Superior Court warrants.
