The New York State Police in Horseheads say an Elmira man has been arrested following an investigation into multiple home improvement fraud complaints.
Troopers allege that 28-year-old Bradley Baldwin accepted several thousand dollars from Chemung County residents for contracting projects that he never completed.
On August 22, Baldwin was charged with third-degree grand larceny, first-degree scheme to defraud, and two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny. He was arraigned in Veteran Town Court and sent to the Chemung County Jail on bail.
State Police say the investigation is ongoing and are asking anyone who believes they may have been a victim to call (585) 398-4100.
he fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
