EBT Cards Work Again, But You Need To Update

New York’s EBT system changes have been completed and it is now up and running again.

The system was shut down early Sunday morning and then restarted Sunday afternoon. EBT cardholders were not able to access food or cash purchases and withdrawals. The customer service helpline, app, and online portal were also shut down.

If you are an EBT cardholder, you now need to download the new app and client portal. Information on the new ebtEDGE app and website will be posted on otda.ny.gov and mybenefits.ny.gov
