A Syracuse man is facing drug and weapon charges following a three-month investigation by the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office.
Law enforcement began the investigation into cocaine trafficking at the Plaza Apartments at 1108 East Genesee Street in the city.
According to the sheriff’s office, a search warrant was executed on Wednesday, June 19 and deputies searched Cyrus Turnquest, his residence and car, and the Plaza Apartments. The search allegedly turned the following:

Approximately 91oz. (5.6 lbs.) of pills that tested positive for the presence of fentanyl.
- Approximately 71.6oz. (4.48 lbs.) of psilocybin mushrooms.
- Approximately 3.1oz. of cocaine.

Approximately 24.8oz. (1.55lbs) of pills that tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine.
- Approximately 1.63oz. of ketamine.
- Approximately 3.03oz. of oxycodone pills.
- Approximately 2,220 alprazolam pills.
- Dextroamphetamine pills.
- A quantity of Methyl
enedioxy methamphetamin e (MDMA). - Packaging, scales, cutting materials, and a pill press.
- $97,561 US Currency
- A Taurus .357 revolver with a box of 50 rounds of ammunition.
The 26-year-old was charged with 12 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, three counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon, and one count of Criminal Possession of a Firearm.
Turnquest is currently being held at the Onondaga County Justice Center.
