Police are investigating a fatal crash early Friday morning after a vehicle struck several gas pumps and support pillars at a Greece gas station.
Greece Police responded to the Kwik Fill station on West Ridge Road near North Avenue around 3:05 a.m. Friday for a report of a crash with a person trapped, according 13WHAM.
Investigators say the vehicle damaged multiple fuel pumps and the station’s canopy before coming to rest against a concrete support pole. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and no other injuries were reported. Authorities have not released the driver’s identity pending family notification.
Police have not yet provided a cause for the crash and ask anyone with information to contact the Greece Police Department at 585‑865‑9200.
The gas station’s management has not announced a timeline for reopening.
