A door fell off a small, non-commercial plane near the Buffalo airport Monday night.
According to the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority, the plane lost its rear door while in the air just before 6 p.m. The plane, which was carrying two people, landed safely at the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport. WIVB-TV in Buffalo reported there were no injuries or property damage as a result of the incident.
A search for the door in the area of Stiglmeier Park in Cheektowaga turned up nothing.
