The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and Onondaga County Parks are partnering for a free, family-friendly learn to fish event in Elbridge this weekend.
The event will take place from 9:30a-12:30p on Saturday at Carpenter’s Brook Fish Hatchery (1672 Route 321, Elbridge).
Attendees can learn about fish identification, fishing equipment and techniques, aquatic invertebrates, and how to cook and clean fish. Participants can also practice fishing in a trout pond.
Fishing licenses will not be required during the program and rods, bait, tackle, and educational material will be provided.
Anyone with questions is asked to call 607-753-3095 or email [email protected].
