The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is looking to modernize how you can access information from it.
The DEC has given its website a complete overhaul, making it more user friendly, especially for mobile users. Replacing its prior website which was launched in 2005, this new site has been designed to make it easier for users to navigate and find what they’re looking for such as licences, job openings, and more.
“With more than 28 million visitors each year in search of information about DEC programs, environmental rules and regulations, outreach and education, and grant opportunities, DEC’s website is a critical extension of the services we provide for New Yorkers,” said Commissioner Basil Seggos. “The launch of DEC’s new website provides a more mobile-friendly and immersive view into DEC’s mission and our ongoing work to protect the environmental and public health and responsibly connect New Yorkers to nature.”
The department sees over 28 million visitors to its site annually. We have a link up on FLDN.com
