Keep an eye out for a green glow across the New York State counties this Tuesday. In celebration of Veterans Day, county buildings, courthouses, and municipal landmarks across New York State will be illuminated in green.
The recognition comes as part of the 5th annual Operation Green Light campaign — a statewide initiative that began in New York and has since become a national movement.
Launched in 2021 by the New York State Association of Counties (NYSAC), Operation Green Light’s mission has been to create a visible tribute to the service and sacrifice of the nation’s veterans. The campaign invites and encourages local governments, businesses, and residents to shine a green light from Nov. 4-11.
