A Central New York state senator is looking to unseat Republican Brandon Williams in Congress.
Democratic Senator John Mannion announced on Thursday that he will run for New York’s 22nd Congressional District seat, which consists of Madison, Oneida, and Onondaga Counties, along with part of Oswego County.
He currently represents the 50th State Senate district which covers parts of Onondaga County.
Mannion lives in Geddes while Williams resides outside the congressional district in the Cayuga County town of Sennett.
