CNY Congressman Not Moving Into District Just Yet

SHARE NOW

Congressman Brandon Williams has put moving into his congressional district on hold.

The first-term Republican from the town of Sennett in Cayuga County tells the Post Standard he will wait to see what happens with a lawsuit seeking to redraw district lines for the 2024 election.

Williams lives within the 24th Congressional District represented by Claudia Tenney. His home is 2-miles from the Onondaga County line and the village of Skaneateles in the 22nd Congressional District. The 22nd District, which Williams represents,  spans all of Onondaga, Madison and Oneida counties, and the southeastern tip of Oswego County.

The Appellate Division of state Supreme Court agreed last week to hear an appeal of a lawsuit to attempt to force the redrawing of New York’s House districts in time for next year’s election.
