If one Central New York county executive files a lawsuit against the state, he has the backing of most of his county legislature.
With only the support of the Republican majority, the Onondaga County Legislature voted Tuesday to not only support but to fund a lawsuit against the state’s change to the election calendar. Late last year, the Governor signed a bill that moves local elections from odd-numbered years to even-numbered years.
WSYR TV reports Ryan McMahon will make the ultimate decision on whether or not Onondaga County will sue.
