A routine traffic stop turned unusual after a New York State Trooper discovered that a driver was using hand-drawn inspection and registration stickers in place of official documents.
Troopers say the stop occurred Thursday night after an officer noticed the vehicle had switched license plates. Once pulled over, the Trooper quickly spotted that the inspection and registration stickers on the windshield were anything but legitimate — appearing to be drawn by hand with pen, marker, and even crayon.
State Police noted that while the artwork showed “an impressive amount of confidence,” arts and crafts supplies do not count as valid documentation.
The driver was issued multiple tickets, and the vehicle was impounded.
State Police did not indicate where in New York this traffic stop took place, or when “Picasso” will appear in court.
