The body found in the Seneca River Saturday has been identified.

Syracuse Police say they were made aware of the recovery of the body from the river, near Lock 24 in Baldwinsville. On Monday police were able to positively identify the body as 44-year old John Reschke of Syracuse.

Reschke was reported missing on the seventh and had not been seen or heard from since.

On Thursday, Syracuse police asked residents to be on the lookout for Reschke, who left a Baldwinsville tavern on Syracuse Street that Sunday on foot by himself.
